Montmartre area
| Moulin Rouge: dating from 1889, it was a place of extravagant balls. Later, its stage hosted prominent artists like Josephine Baker, Frank Sinatra and Edith Piaf. Nowadays it remains a popular tourist attraction with spectacular daily shows. Cabaret du Lapin Agile: it was a popular meeting place for artists including Picasso, Modigliani, Apollinaire and Utrillo. Today it offers “Song, Humour and Poetry” evenings in French that are a real journey through time. La Cigale: multi purpose venue dating from 1887, redecorated by famous designer Philippe Starck. It hosts shows of French and international artists. The Trianon theatre : a magnificent Italian-style concert hall from the late 19th century that hosts concerts, plays, musicals and operettas.
